ECI to Resolve Duplicate EPIC Numbers in 3 Months

The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced on Friday that it will fix a big problem: many voters have the same Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) numbers. This issue has been around for a long time, and the ECI wants to solve it in the next three months. After talking with their tech teams and Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) from different states, the ECI promised to make sure that every voter gets a special EPIC number that nobody else has. They are working hard to give a unique EPIC number to all voters who currently have the same one and to future voters as well.
