Actor Vicky Kaushal’s new movie “Chhaava” is creating a buzz all over India! Leaders from the BJP in Mumbai are showing a lot of love for the film. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised it, saying, “Right now, ‘Chhaava’ is making a splash.”
Recently, Aditi Sunil Tatkare, a minister in Maharashtra, hosted a special screening of “Chhaava” for MLAs (Members of the Legislative Assembly) and MLCs (Members of the Legislative Council). She said, “We wanted all our MLAs and council members to see this important movie, so we arranged a special screening.” The cast and team of the movie helped a lot with this event.
“Chhaava,” directed by Laxman Utekar, features Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Akshaye Khanna as Emperor Aurangzeb. Additionally, Rashmika Mandanna and Divya Dutta are also in the film.
Aditi Tatkare thanked Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other leaders for attending the screening. She expressed that the movie honors Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s struggles for Swarajya (self-rule).
Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar praised “Chhaava,” calling it “really good” and encouraging more films about history. He wants young people to learn about their heritage through movies.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also shared his thoughts, saying, “This movie shows the bravery and intelligence of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. His struggle and sacrifice for our freedom are now visible to the public. Congratulations to everyone involved!”
Even Prime Minister Modi mentioned “Chhaava” at a big Marathi literature event, celebrating Maharashtra’s role in both Marathi and Hindi films. He highlighted that the film shares the bravery of Sambhaji Maharaj with everyone.
Feeling honored by the Prime Minister’s words, Vicky Kaushal shared a heartfelt thank-you on Instagram, saying, “Grateful to PM Narendra Modi.” Rashmika Mandanna, who plays Yesubai, also expressed her gratitude online, writing, “Thank you, PM Modi. It’s truly an honor!”
