CSK Faces Struggles in IPL 2025: Can They Bounce Back

CSK (Chennai Super Kings) is struggling in the IPL 2025 season. They lost their seventh match on Saturday against SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad) by five wickets. This loss means CSK has now lost four games in a row at their home ground, Chepauk. This is only the second time this has happened in their history, the first being in 2008 and 2010.

After the game, CSK’s head coach, Stephen Fleming, talked about why the team is facing these issues. He said the problems started with their plan during last year’s big auction. “It’s clear we didn’t perform well this season,” he admitted. “We have been examining our style of play and how the game is changing.”

The team has struggled to find players who consistently perform well, especially since Ruturaj Gaikwad got injured. Fleming added, “We need to take responsibility and ask more from our players. Things haven’t worked out as we wanted.”

He acknowledged that planning for the auction is tricky and hasn’t gone perfectly for the team. “The auction can be a very confusing process. Sometimes you feel exhausted. But I believe we still have a good team; we are not far from being successful,” he continued. “Injuries and lack of form have made it tough. We’ve changed our game plan too much, and that has confused the players.”

Despite the challenges, CSK hopes to bounce back in their next game against PBKS (Punjab Kings) in Chennai on Wednesday.
