The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that starting in 2026, students in Class 10 will take their board exams two times a year! This means more chances to succeed!

The first test will happen from February 17 to March 6, and the second one will be from May 5 to May 20. Good news for students: they will go to the same exam center for both tests!

Both exams will cover the full syllabus, which means students need to study everything they learned throughout the year. There will be a small fee to pay for each exam when students sign up.

An important change is that these two exams will also count as backup options. If a student does not do well in the first exam, they can try again in the second one. So, no special supplementary exams will be held.

This change is a part of the new National Education Policy (NEP) which aims to make exams less stressful for students. According to this policy, students can take the exams up to two times during the school year!
