A baby girl, just 23 days old, was found abandoned in a special care unit for newborns in Kochi. Her parents, from Jharkhand, left her there after facing some problems. The Kerala government, led by Minister Veena George, is now stepping in to help her.

The Women and Child Development Department is acting quickly. Officials will go to the hospital to support the baby. They stated that if the parents come back, they can take her home. If they choose not to, the Child Welfare Committee will make sure the baby gets the care she needs.

The hospital’s head has been told to ensure the baby gets all the medical help she requires. Her parents worked at a fish farm in Kottayam. When the mother was on a train, she had health issues and gave birth at a nearby hospital. Since the baby was very small, she was moved to a private hospital for special care. Unfortunately, the parents have since disappeared, and the hospital has not been able to reach them.
