Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) has given out scholarships worth ₹3.38 crore through its Hyundai Hope Scholarship Program. This program started in August 2024 and aims to help talented students from low-income families. They received applications from 23 states across India and chose 783 deserving students.
Among these students, 440 are getting ready for exams to become civil servants, while 343 are part of teams from various Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) working on cool projects that could help society and the environment.
The scholarships were given out by Kiren Rijiju, the Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs. He praised the Hyundai Hope Scholarship Program, saying it shows how much HMIL cares about India’s future. He noted that the program not only gives financial help but also encourages and empowers young people to make a difference.
Sivaramakrishnan, a trustee of HMIF, added that this scholarship program is creating future leaders and innovators. The good work these students do will positively affect not just themselves and their families, but everyone.
