Samay Raina’s show, “India’s Got Latent,” is getting a lot of negative attention because of an episode with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia. Some people have complained that they used bad language during the show. In response, Uorfi Javed, a friend of Samay’s, has spoken out for him. She believes that while some comments made during the episode were inappropriate, Samay and Ranveer shouldn’t be punished or sent to jail for it.

Uorfi shared her thoughts on her Instagram Stories. She said, “Not everyone likes certain people or what they say, but wanting to send them to jail? That seems too extreme. Samay is my friend, and I support him. Yes, what was said was distasteful, but they shouldn’t go to jail for that.” Uorfi had also been a guest on Samay’s show before but left midway because some contestants made rude comments about her. She reassured everyone that Samay was kind to her, and there were no hard feelings between them.

About the controversy, Ranveer asked a contestant an inappropriate question: “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?” Many viewers were upset by this and criticized him on social media. Afterward, Ranveer apologized and asked the show’s creators to edit out the bad parts.

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) released a statement asking for serious action against both Samay and Ranveer and demanded that the show be banned. Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis noted that freedom of expression has limits, and Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said she would bring this issue to the parliament.
