Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently talked with students about important topics like nutrition, handling pressure, and being good leaders during his annual event called ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’. This year’s event was the eighth edition, and it was shared live on Monday.
Modi reminded students that knowledge (‘gyan’) is different from exams. They shouldn’t think of exams as the most important thing in life. In a fun discussion with students from different states, he encouraged them to explore their interests and passions rather than feeling trapped.
He advised students to plan their time wisely to manage it better. Modi talked with students about making the most of their time, focusing on good things, and taking care of their health. This year was different; instead of a formal meeting, he took around 35 students to Sunder Nursery for a more informal chat.
He also spoke to parents, asking them not to compare their children with others but to support them. He stressed that getting good sleep is important and that students shouldn’t worry too much about getting high scores. He compared handling study pressure to a batter in a cricket game, who stays focused on the next ball despite the noise from fans.
Modi encouraged students to challenge themselves to improve with each exam. He emphasized how important eating healthy food and practicing meditation is for their well-being. He noted that good leaders inspire others through their actions, not just their words. This year, famous people like actress Deepika Padukone, boxer MC Mary Kom, and spiritual leader Sadhguru also shared their insights with students during Pariksha Pe Charcha.
