Karnataka to Launch Major Industrial Parks and Attract Global Investments

The Karnataka state government is planning to create special industrial parks to boost business in the state, said MB Patil, the Minister for Industries and Infrastructure. These parks will focus on different areas, such as:

– Advanced Pharma Park in Kolar
– Solar Cell Manufacturing Plant in Vijayapura
– Food Park in Vijayapura
– Drone Park in Chitradurga
– Deep-Tech Park in Jangamanakote
– Mega Logistics Park near Dabaspet
– Electric Vehicle Clusters in Chikkaballapura and Dharwad

This announcement was made before the global investors meet, which will occur from February 12 to February 14. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will start the event, which Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will lead. Rahul Gandhi, the opposition leader, will introduce a newly improved Single Window System during the meet.

Prominent attendees like Union Ministers and other leaders are expected to come, and they anticipate attracting investments worth ₹10 lakh crore, aiming for at least 70% of that to become reality.

A 200-acre Startup Park is also planned near Hubballi Airport to host around 400 startups, along with a 1,200-acre Solar Cell Manufacturing and Agro-Tech Park in Vijayapura.

At the meet, over 60 startups will display their latest innovations, including advanced technologies like drones and robotics. There will be participation from 19 countries with several sessions discussing topics related to sustainable growth and investments.

Special awards will recognize outstanding industries and small businesses that contribute to Karnataka’s economy. The government will also give out nine awards under VentuRISE, amounting to $300,000 in prizes.

There will be many technical discussions with important speakers, including well-known industry leaders and government officials. This year’s event will have double the number of sessions compared to past meetings, highlighting Karnataka’s growing role in industry and innovation.
