In a sad accident in Chhattisgarh’s Dhamtari district, three young boys lost their lives and another was hurt when a tractor they were riding on overturned. The accident happened on Wednesday near Charra village.
The boys who died were 16-year-old Pritam Chandrakar and Mayank Dhruv, who lived in Mogra village, and 14-year-old Honendra Sahu from Charra. The injured boy is 14-year-old Arjun Yadav from Banagar.
It all started when Pritam took his tractor out for a ride, and all four boys decided to skip school to join him. On their way back from Kurud, Pritam lost control of the tractor, and it flipped near an agricultural college in Charra.
Sadly, three boys got trapped under the tractor and passed away on the spot, while Arjun suffered serious injuries. Local people saw the accident and quickly called the police. When officers arrived, they found the boys and took the bodies for examination. Arjun was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The police have opened a case and are investigating the incident. Officials mentioned that poor road conditions with poorly filled ‘side shoulders’ led to the crash. In this area, the road edges are uneven and have holes, which likely caused the tractor to tip over.
