Dr. Sriram Nene: Balancing Fame, Family, and Health Insights

Dr. Sriram Nene, a former heart doctor who is now a health influencer, recently spoke at a panel discussion. He shared his journey of moving from the USA to India almost ten years ago and his efforts to improve people’s health through technology.

During the event hosted by Lakshmi Pratury, Dr. Nene discussed how his life changed after marrying Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit. He jokingly said, “I’m just riding along; Madhuri is the famous one.” He talked about the “imposter syndrome” that many people feel and emphasized that everyone has the power to make a difference in the lives of others.

Dr. Nene also reflected on his time as a heart surgeon at UCLA, where he worked with many celebrities who preferred to keep their lives private. Now, he finds himself in a different situation in India, where people often ask for selfies with him. He admitted it can be hard for him to have real conversations because everyone wants a picture instead.

Dr. Nene and Madhuri, who married in 1999, are a humble couple who don’t seek fame for its own sake. They lived in the US for the first ten years of their marriage and then moved to India, where Madhuri returned to acting and Dr. Nene focused on becoming a health influencer. He has an impressive following: 781,000 Instagram followers and 500,000 YouTube subscribers.
