If you think a Coldplay concert in India was huge, wait until you hear about the India vs. Pakistan cricket match at the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025! Fans went wild trying to grab tickets, but they sold out in just minutes, according to Times of India. This exciting match is planned for February 23 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, where India will play all its games, including the semifinals and finals if they make it.
Unfortunately, many fans were left upset because so many people tried to buy tickets. Over 150,000 people were in line to get them! Others waited for more than an hour online, but when they got there, most ticket categories—like the fancy Dirham 2,000 Platinum and Dirham 5,000 Grand Lounge—were already sold out. One fan shared their frustration on social media, saying, “I waited 3 hours just for the link to get tickets for the India vs. Pakistan match, but 150k people were already ahead of me. That’s so unfair!”
This ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be special. Because of tensions between India and Pakistan, it will use a hybrid format after the Pakistan Cricket Board, the International Cricket Council, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India reached an agreement. India will play all its matches in Dubai.
The tournament runs from February 19 to March 9 and will feature eight teams. It will include matches in both Pakistan and Dubai. Matches in Pakistan will be held in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi. The first match will be Pakistan vs. New Zealand in Karachi.
Group Stage Setup:
– Group A: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, New Zealand
– Group B: Afghanistan, England, Australia, South Africa
