Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of the Indian cricket team and a former BJP MP, has received a death threat from ISIS Kashmir. This made him go to the Delhi Police on Wednesday to ask for help. He even filed a request to register a First Information Report (FIR). Gambhir wants police to ensure that his family stays safe. The Delhi Police will look into the matter and provide security.
On April 22, Gambhir got two threatening emails saying “IKillU.” This is not the first time he’s faced such threats; he received a similar email back in November 2021 while he was still an MP. On Tuesday, Gambhir spoke out against a terrible attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 innocent people died when terrorists shot at tourists. He expressed his sadness and promised that those responsible would be held accountable, stating, “India will strike.” Gambhir shared this message on his X (formerly Twitter) account to show his support for the victims’ families.
