A 21-year-old college student was found dead in her hostel room in Perumbavoor on Monday morning, police reported. The student, who lived in Parampuzha, Kottayam district, was in her final year at Rajagiri Viswajyothi College of Arts and Applied Sciences. She was discovered hanging from the window at around 7 am.
The police found a note for her parents in her room, which raises concerns that she might have taken her own life. The Kuruppampady police have opened an investigation to look into what happened.
