New Delhi – Hollywood stars Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon are excited about Indian weddings, even though they’ve never been to one! Both actors are promoting their new romantic comedy, “You’re Cordially Invited,” where they star together for the first time.
Will remembers getting an invitation to an Indian wedding and wishes he had gone. Reese saw a glimpse of an Indian wedding in the movie “Monsoon Wedding” and thinks it would be a lot of fun.
In “You’re Cordially Invited,” which just came out on Prime Video, the story follows two weddings happening at the same hotel on the same day. Will plays Jim, a dad getting ready for his daughter’s wedding, while Reese plays Margot, who is planning her sister’s wedding. Some funny moments happen when they try to outdo each other!
Reese loves this movie because of its funny script and her co-star, Will. “When you have a great script and a funny guy like Will, you know it’s going to be good,” she said.
Will thinks comedies like this one are exciting because they feel familiar but also have a fresh twist. He believes in moving forward with comedy and making it entertaining, even with changing times.
Reese added that it was exciting to star with Will because they have a fun on-screen chemistry, especially since one is tall and the other is short. They made some jokes during the interview about this difference.
The movie features a talented cast, including Geraldine Viswanathan, Meredith Hagner, and Jack McBrayer. Will and Reese also helped produce the film with director Nicholas Stoller.
