Market Update: Reliance Drops While Infosys and Others Rise!

Top Indian companies face market declines, with Reliance Industries leading the drop. Infosys and others show growth amid investor challenges.

Last week, four of the top 10 most valuable companies in India saw their total market value drop by ₹1,25,397.45 crore. This decline was led by Reliance Industries, which felt the hit due to negative feelings among investors in the stock market.

During the week, the BSE index fell by 428.87 points, or 0.55%, while the Nifty index dropped by 111 points, or 0.47%. This marked a tough time for the Bulls in the stock market, as the Nifty ended lower for the third week in a row. Despite some good chances to bounce back, the positive momentum did not materialize, according to Santosh Meena, Head of Research at Swastika Investmart Ltd.

Let’s break down the market value changes of some notable companies:

– Reliance Industries lost ₹74,969.35 crore, bringing its total value to ₹16,85,998.34 crore.
– Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI) decreased by ₹21,251.99 crore, now valued at ₹5,19,472.06 crore.
– State Bank of India saw a decline of ₹17,626.13 crore, with a value of ₹6,64,304.09 crore.
– ICICI Bank’s valuation fell by ₹11,549.98 crore to ₹8,53,945.19 crore.

On the flip side, there were some winners in the market:

– Infosys grew by ₹24,934.38 crore, reaching a value of ₹7,78,612.76 crore.
– HDFC Bank increased by ₹9,828.08 crore, taking its total to ₹12,61,627.89 crore.
– Bharti Airtel’s value jumped by ₹9,398.89 crore to ₹9,36,413.86 crore.
– Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) climbed by ₹9,262.3 crore, now valued at ₹15,01,976.67 crore.
– Hindustan Unilever added ₹3,442.15 crore, bringing its value to ₹5,56,594.67 crore.
– ITC’s valuation rose by ₹1,689.08 crore to ₹5,52,392.01 crore.

Reliance Industries remains the most valuable company in India, followed closely by TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, State Bank of India, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, and LICI.
