Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), responded to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who criticized him during his visit to Delhi. Kejriwal shared on social media, “Amit Shah came to Delhi, insulted me, and left. Will Delhi grow by disrespecting me? They have no plan or vision for our city. Why not just copy our services instead? The BJP has given up.”
Amit Shah had made strong comments against Kejriwal during the launch of the BJP’s new plan for elections and later at a rally in Rajouri Garden. Shah said, “Since 2014, PM Modi has shown how to work hard in politics. In every election, the BJP has tried to keep its promises. We have asked many people for their opinions on this. Kejriwal’s government makes promises but doesn’t keep them, and then pretends everything is fine. I’ve never seen anyone lie so openly.”
Shah attacked Kejriwal again, insisting that the Prime Minister has promised that all welfare programs for the less fortunate in Delhi will continue. He accused Kejriwal of lying, saying, “The BJP will not stop any help for the poor. Kejriwal promised a corruption-free Delhi but was involved in a big liquor scam.”
He added, “We need to make Delhi clean, eliminate the ‘AAP disaster’, and ensure everyone has clean drinking water. If we want Delhi to be the best city in the world, we need to make sure Modi wins,” he urged.
Delhi is set to vote in the assembly elections on February 5, with results announced on February 8.
