Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal asked Delhi voters to stay strong against attempts to buy their votes with money and gifts. He accused the BJP of giving away gold chains, sarees, shoes, and cash to influence people’s choices before the Assembly elections on February 5.
Kejriwal reminded everyone that their vote is very important. “Take the money, but don’t sell your vote for just Rs 1,100 or a saree. Your vote is priceless,” he said in a video. He encouraged people to think about democracy rather than short-term rewards. He also honored B. R. Ambedkar, who fought for everyone’s right to vote. Kejriwal warned that if votes can be bought, democracy will disappear, and only the rich will be in charge.
He urged voters to support honest candidates and not those who are trying to bribe them. Kejriwal also spoke about the importance of keeping votes secret and assured everyone that their votes are safe. The election results will be announced on February 8.
