Divyanka Tripathi is a well-known actor who has been in the TV industry for over 20 years. Recently, she shared that her first acting experience was really tough and made her feel depressed. She called it “the traumatic show of my life.”
In an interview with Hindi Rush, Divyanka reflected on her early days. She said, “My first show was very hard for me. Back then, I didn’t even know what depression was.” She believes that people today understand depression better, thanks to social media. Divyanka mentioned, “They say ignorance is bliss. Maybe because I didn’t know I was feeling depressed, I didn’t take it seriously for a while. But I did go through a tough time, and I would cry when certain names came up in conversations with my friends.”
Divyanka emphasized how talking about your feelings can help. She advised that it’s important to have a good therapist or a friend who can listen and support you.
How Divyanka Made Her Mark
Divyanka started her career in 2004 by joining India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj, where she reached the top 8 contestants from the Bhopal region. She gained fame for her role as Vidya in Banoo Main Teri Dulhann in 2006. Later, in 2013, she became even more popular as Dr. Ishita Iyer Bhalla in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. In 2017, she won the dance show Nach Baliye 8 and was also the runner-up in Khatron Ke Khiladi 11.
Most recently, Divyanka appeared in a show called The Magic Of Shiri. The story, set in 1996 Delhi, is about a woman with money problems who decides to become a stage magician. It shows the challenges she faces along the way. The show features a talented cast, including Jaaved Jafferi and Namit Das, and is available on JioCinema Premium.
