The Delhi government has announced that all liquor shops and places that serve alcohol will shut down from February 3 to 5, which is voting day, and again on February 8, when the election results will be revealed.
A recent notice from the Delhi excise commissioner stated that these days will be dry, meaning no alcohol can be sold or served. This rule applies to all types of licenses, covering bars, restaurants, clubs, and hotels.
So, from 6 PM on February 3 until 6 PM on February 5, and also on February 8, no one will be allowed to buy or consume alcohol anywhere in the city. This decision is aimed at ensuring a smooth voting process and counting of votes.
