Doctors from different hospitals in Kolkata held a protest rally on Saturday. They are unhappy with the conviction of Sanjay Roy, the main suspect in the RG Kar rape-murder case. They want the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) to find and punish everyone involved in this horrible crime.

During the rally, junior and senior doctors, including those from RG Kar hospital, expressed their concerns. They started their march outside the Sealdah court and said they would keep protesting until the truth of what happened is fully uncovered. One junior doctor named Aniket Mahato said, “While Sanjay has been convicted, we wonder about the other bad guys. How could he commit such a crime alone? There are still many questions we need answers to.”

The doctors also asked why the CBI has not presented a new chargesheet to include more evidence. Another doctor, Asfakullah Naiya, questioned, “Where is the supplementary chargesheet?” They pointed out that the crime scene seems to have been changed and that there are many confusing details, like several different semen samples found on the victim’s body.

The doctors handed out leaflets with 20 important questions for the public and asked for their support. Senior doctor Pabitra Goswami stated, “We will keep protesting until all the guilty people are punished. We are not satisfied with this one conviction. We believe this is to protect others who were involved. We will continue to demand justice and reveal the bigger plan behind this crime.”
