Katy Perry is still buzzing with excitement after watching her good friend Taylor Swift perform live during the Eras Tour. In a recent chat, the 40-year-old singer talked about how amazing it was to see Taylor’s concert in Sydney last year, especially after they had some issues in the past.
Katy shared a fun story about how she had a day off before her own show in Australia and decided to surprise Taylor. She smiled and said, “I told her, ‘Hey girl, I’m coming to your show!’ and we were both so happy to see each other.”
After the concert, Perry posted lots of cool photos and videos, including one of herself and Taylor backstage. She wrote, “Got to see an old friend shine tonight!” and shared clips of Taylor’s hits like “You Belong With Me” and “Bad Blood” while she sang along.
Katy also praised Taylor’s fans, calling them “an adorable sweet community.” She shared how fans gave her special bracelets at the show, which made her feel included. She said, “It’s just like a community, and it’s so sweet.”
In 2020, Katy said that after making up with Taylor, they had a “super friendly” bond. She was thankful they could publicly show their friendship, which is a great example for young girls. Katy even appeared in the music video for Taylor’s song “You Need To Calm Down,” where they wore matching hamburger and fries costumes.
