Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, and Dakota Johnson, a famous actress from Fifty Shades of Grey, visited the Shri Babulnath Temple in Mumbai on Friday. They came to seek blessings from Lord Shiva before Coldplay’s exciting concerts in the city.
Embracing Indian Culture
Chris wore a light blue kurta and a special necklace called a Rudraksha mala, while Dakota chose a pretty printed cotton suit and covered her head with a scarf known as a dupatta. They enjoyed their time at the temple and posed for photos outside.
A Special Moment
A sweet moment caught everyone’s attention when Dakota whispered a wish into the ear of Nandi, the sacred bull of Lord Shiva. This gesture is a tradition that many believe helps to make wishes come true. The photo of this moment quickly spread online, showing how much they respect Indian traditions.
Coldplay’s Upcoming Concerts in India
This visit happens just before Coldplay performs in India during their Music of the Spheres World Tour. The band will play three shows at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21, and finish off with a big concert at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on January 25.
Warm Welcome in Mumbai
Chris and Dakota landed in Mumbai on Thursday evening and were very friendly with the press. Chris greeted photographers with a warm “Namaste,” and Dakota, who is also known for her role in Madame Web, was just as down-to-earth.
Coldplay’s Connection with India
Coldplay has a special bond with India that started back in 2016 when they performed at the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai. This tour is another exciting time for both the band and their fans in India!
