As the huge Maha Kumbh festival is happening, a special group of 21 people from 10 different countries will experience the holy event at Sangam in Prayagraj. This group, invited by the Indian government, includes people from Fiji, Finland, Guyana, Malaysia, Mauritius, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Trinidad and Tobago, and the UAE.
On Wednesday, the delegation will visit the Maha Kumbh Mela area. They’ll enjoy a special cultural walk to see the history and traditions of Prayagraj from 5 PM to 6:30 PM. After this, they will have dinner and spend the night at the Tent City, a place specially set up for visitors.
On Thursday morning at 8 AM, they will take a sacred dip in the Triveni Sangam, the spot where the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati meet. After enjoying breakfast at 9:30 AM, they will take a helicopter ride to see the area from the sky. Their tour will end at 1:30 PM, and then they will head to the airport.
The Maha Kumbh happens once every 12 years and is one of the largest spiritual gatherings in the world. It started on January 13 and will go on until February 16. The Uttar Pradesh government expects about 400 to 450 million pilgrims to visit during this time
