A person from Kolkata, Ritham Bhattacharjee, recently shared on LinkedIn how unhappy he was with IndiGo Airlines after a frustrating experience with a delayed flight. He even posted a video of a heated talk with the flight staff.

Five-Hour Delay with Little Help
On January 6, Bhattacharjee’s flight from Kolkata to Chennai was delayed by a shocking five hours. The passengers had to stay inside the plane the whole time with only a small packet of chips and a cookie as help. “It’s silly to keep us on the plane for so long and then give us such little food,” he said.

Unprofessional Staff Behavior
Things didn’t get better when he flew back. He said the flight attendants were “rude and unhelpful.” Bhattacharjee mentioned specific staff members, saying they didn’t treat passengers well. As someone who often flies with IndiGo, he was very disappointed. “It feels like the airline is putting its costs first before caring about its customers,” he noted.

IndiGo’s Response Does Not Satisfy
IndiGo quickly replied to Bhattacharjee’s post, saying, “This isn’t the experience we want for our customers. Please give us some time to contact you.”

What Other People Are Saying
Many people online reacted strongly to Bhattacharjee’s story. Some said his experience was “outrageous” and criticized the airline for not being professional. Others pointed out that cheaper airlines often have lower service quality.
