The Sub-Committee on the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) has lifted the Stage-III restrictions that were put in place on January 9, 2025, because the air quality in Delhi has improved. When the air quality is labeled as “Severe,” Stage-III measures are enforced. These measures include stopping industrial activity, halting construction, and tightening rules for vehicles to reduce pollution.

As of 9 am today, the air quality was still in the ‘poor’ range, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 284. For your reference, here’s how the AQI works:
– 0 to 50: Good
– 51 to 100: Satisfactory
– 101 to 200: Moderate
– 201 to 300: Poor
– 301 to 400: Very Poor
– 401 to 500: Severe

Even though the Stage-III restrictions have been removed, some lower-stage measures from the GRAP will stay active to avoid a rise in pollution again. Stay tuned for more updates
