On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored Swami Vivekananda, a great spiritual leader and social reformer, on his birthday. Modi said that Vivekananda continues to inspire the youth even today. Born in 1863, Swami Vivekananda started the famous Ramakrishna Mission and his teachings on Hindu philosophy are still much respected.

Modi mentioned that Vivekananda is “an eternal inspiration for youth” and that he helps spark passion and purpose in young people’s lives. The Prime Minister also promised to work towards making India strong and developed, following Vivekananda’s vision.

This special day is called National Youth Day, which focuses on encouraging young people to contribute positively to society. To celebrate this occasion, Modi will be participating in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2025 at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. He will meet and talk with 3,000 young leaders from across India and share his thoughts with them.
