“Fateh” is a new movie directed by Sonu Sood, known for its intense action and a storyline about cybercrime. In this film, Sood plays Fateh Singh, a former secret agent who becomes a contract killer. The story begins with the disappearance of a girl from his village in Punjab. When Fateh goes to Delhi to find her, he uncovers a dangerous scam run by a man named Raza, played by the legendary Naseeruddin Shah.
At first, the film seems promising, but it quickly becomes just another action movie filled with violence. The focus shifts from the important issue of scam loans to flashy action scenes with lots of blood. You’ll see shocking moments, like someone drilling into a man’s mouth or gouging out eyes. The ending even resembles another famous movie, “Animal.”
While Sonu Sood does an okay job directing, the story feels too familiar and lacks creativity. The movie pretends to educate viewers about cybercrime but doesn’t deliver any real information. Jacqueline Fernandez plays an ethical hacker but mostly just screams or needs to be rescued. It’s disappointing to see a talented actor like Naseeruddin Shah not given more to do.
Despite these issues, Sood manages to keep your attention. He shines in action scenes, and you can tell he aimed for high-quality filmmaking. The music, especially the title song sung by Arijit Singh, fits well with the movie.
In short, “Fateh” is packed with action but falls short in storytelling. While the action scenes might impress some people, it doesn’t offer anything new or meaningful.
