India Strikes Terror Posts in Pakistan: A Strong Message

Recently, India conducted an operation called “Operation Sindoor,” targeting several terror posts in Pakistan. This happened in the early hours of Wednesday when Indian forces struck nine terrorist locations along the Line of Control, the border area between India and Pakistan. According to reports, at least 26 people were killed and 46 were injured during these strikes.

After the Indian attack, Pakistan summoned the Indian Chargé d’Affaires, which is a senior official of the Indian embassy, to express its strong anger. The Pakistan Foreign Office stated that this act by India was unprovoked and violated Pakistan’s sovereignty, meaning it crossed a line by attacking without cause. They emphasized that such actions go against international laws and are not acceptable between countries.

A notable figure involved is Masood Azhar, the leader of the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). He reported that many of his family members were killed during the strikes, including his elder sister, her husband, and his nephew.

The strikes were a direct response to a severe attack that took place in Kashmir’s Pahalgam area on April 22, which killed 26 people, mostly tourists. Many of these tourists were enjoying a popular area called the Baisaran meadow. The name “Operation Sindoor,” given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, represents the loss felt by the families of the victims, particularly the women who lost their husbands. In Hindu culture, married women wear “sindoor” as a sign of their marriage, making the operation’s name a touching tribute to those affected by the tragedy.
