India Responds to China’s False Claims on Military Strikes

On Wednesday, India criticized the Chinese news site Global Times for sharing misleading information about Indian military actions. The Global Times said the Pakistan Air Force had shot down an Indian fighter jet in response to airstrikes by India. However, these claims were based on unnamed sources from the Pakistani military.

The Indian Embassy in Beijing replied on social media, urging Global Times to check their facts and sources before spreading misinformation. They highlighted that many social media accounts supporting Pakistan were sharing false stories about India’s recent military operation called Operation Sindoor. The embassy emphasized the importance of responsible journalism and checking the truth behind such claims.

The Indian embassy noted that fake news, including old pictures of crashed aircraft, was being shared in connection with Operation Sindoor. Some of these images were from previous incidents unrelated to the current events.

They also mentioned a tragic attack on Indian tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, where 26 people were killed in April 2025. This attack was carried out by a group linked to the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. The Indian government has reported this group’s activities to the United Nations, clearly showing Pakistan’s history of supporting terrorism.

In the conclusion, India stated that it had to protect itself by responding to these threats while being careful not to escalate the situation. India focused on dismantling the terrorist networks that pose a danger to its safety, encouraging the world to stand firmly against terrorism.
