Heartbreaking IPL 2025 Loss to Gujarat Titans

In a nail-biting match at Wankhede Stadium, Hardik Pandya did not hold back after his team, the Mumbai Indians, lost to the Gujarat Titans by three wickets in the IPL 2025. The loss was heartbreaking, especially because Mumbai kept making no-ball mistakes—pandya himself overstepped twice.

While Mumbai managed only 155 runs, with Will Jacks scoring a quick 53 and Suryakumar Yadav contributing 35 runs, the bowlers fought hard. Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult were excellent, taking key wickets and keeping Gujarat on their toes. But a slow over-rate penalty hurt Mumbai in the final over when they could only have four fielders outside the circle.

Deepak Chahar, who was bowling the last over, made mistakes under pressure, allowing six runs and then giving away a crucial no-ball that helped Gujarat’s chase. Hardik stressed that no balls can change the game and highlighted how Tilak Varma’s drop of Shubman Gill’s catch also cost them.

After the match, Hardik said the team was always chasing a low score. “Yes, it was tough to lose this way. We fought hard with the score we had, and it was a game of fine margins. We were short by 20-30 runs,” he said, praising his bowlers for their efforts despite the poor batting performance. He concluded by discussing the rain delays that made the game difficult but emphasized that they gave their all.
