Virat Kohli: Leading the Way in T20 Cricket with Unmatched Skill!

Virat Kohli, the star cricketer, continues to be a top player in T20 cricket. He adapts his game but stays true to who he is: focused, hardworking, and honest with himself. Kohli is famous for scoring over 500 runs in multiple IPL seasons, and his understanding of the game keeps him relevant, no matter how the sport changes.

Recently, on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) podcast ‘Bold and Beyond,’ Kohli talked about how he worked hard to improve his skills. “In the last couple of seasons, I tried to evolve my game,” he said. He learned to let go of the pressure to always impress others and instead focused on hitting the ball. “You go through a journey of becoming someone, but at the end, I realize that hitting the ball is what matters most,” he explained.

Before the 2024 T20 World Cup, Kohli prepared by opening the batting for RCB, scoring 741 runs. However, at the World Cup, he struggled and only managed to score 75 runs in nine innings. During the final, when India was struggling at 34/3, Kohli scored a crucial 76 runs, helping his team. He described the experience, saying that even when he lost confidence, things can change quickly in cricket.

Being a captain can be tough, and Kohli felt the pressure after leading both India and RCB for many years. “The focus was always on me, which became overwhelming,” he said, explaining why he decided to step down from captaincy. Kohli wished to enjoy playing without feeling judged. Now that he’s retired from T20 Internationals, he plays as an anchor for RCB, proving how much he has helped the team this season.
