Recently, actor Vijay, who is also the chief of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), was at Madurai airport after finishing a film shoot in Kodaikanal. He stirred attention at the airport, but a surprising incident happened when a fan got a bit too close. The fan, excited to see Vijay, tried to approach him with a shawl. In the chaos, one of Vijay’s bodyguards pulled out a gun, which shocked many people watching.
Videos of this incident quickly spread on social media, with some fans cheering for Vijay when he arrived, while others were worried about the fan’s safety. Vijay seemed unaware of the trouble behind him and walked inside, ignoring the scuffle.
The fan later said, “I didn’t know the gun was there; they did it for safety. I don’t think they did anything wrong.” Reactions online were mixed. Some fans defended Vijay, saying the bodyguard was just following safety rules, while others thought the guard’s reaction was extreme. One person noted, “This is scary. Why do his guards use a gun in public?” But other fans pointed out that the guard was just passing the gun to another security member when the fan rushed in, and it was a mistake. Overall, it was a surprising moment for everyone at the airport.
