On Saturday, during an exciting cricket match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, a big fight broke out in the Diamond box. This Diamond box is where families of important government officials sit. The fight involved the families of an IPS officer and an income tax commissioner.
It all started when the daughter of the IPS officer left her seat briefly to go to the bathroom, leaving her purse on the seat to show it was taken. When she came back, she found that a man had taken her seat. The brother of the girl asked the man to move, but he refused, leading to a heated argument. Soon, the girl joined her brother, and the man was with his wife and son. The argument got very loud, with both sides shouting at each other.
The IPS officer’s kids called their parents for help. The officer asked for support from his work friends on his way to the stadium, but nobody helped. Eventually, the officer’s wife went to the Cubbon Park police station to report the incident. She accused the man of touching her daughter inappropriately and invading her space. They said they had a video of what happened because the boy recorded it. It was surprising that there were no police officers in the Diamond box when this happened.
Police filed a case against the income tax commissioner’s family for different offenses, including intimidation, harassment, and insulting the girl. The investigation is ongoing, and the police plan to take action against the accused.
