Supriya Sule Calls Out Air India for Ongoing Flight Delays at Delhi Airport

Supriya Sule, a leader from NCP(SP), is unhappy with delays at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA). She shared that her Air India flight was over an hour late, and many passengers looked stressed. She called on the civil aviation ministry to take action.

On a social media post around 10:44 PM, she said, “At Delhi Airport, my Air India flight was supposed to leave at 10:30 PM but now is delayed to 11:45 PM! Passengers are stuck and worried. This is happening too often—something needs to be done!”

Air India responded by explaining that bad weather caused delays for many flights at Delhi Airport, impacting their schedule across the country. They assured passengers that their flight would leave soon.

Recently, Delhi experienced a lot of rain, causing problems at the airport. IGIA, the busiest airport in India, handles about 1,300 flights every day, making it likely to have issues due to the weather.

This isn’t the first time Supriya Sule has criticized Air India. Earlier this year, she asked the aviation minister, Ram Mohan Naidu, to take serious steps to fix these delays. She described the delays as a “continuous problem” for passengers, saying it’s simply not acceptable. Sule also pointed out that travelers, including professionals, children, and older adults, are all affected by this ongoing issue, stating, “We pay high prices, yet flights are never on time.”
