Jos Buttler, a star player for the Gujarat Titans, is really impressed with young batter Sai Sudharsan. Sudharsan is currently leading the Orange Cap race with 504 runs in 10 matches. The Titans have played some great cricket, and their strong top-order batting has helped them be in a good position for the playoffs. They are currently in second place in the points table with 7 wins out of 10 matches.
The Titans’ top three players—Shubman Gill, Buttler, and Sudharsan—are all among the top four in the Orange Cap race. Buttler praised Sudharsan, recalling his first impression when he saw him practice. “From day one, watching him in the nets, I was amazed by his skill and focus,” Buttler said after their recent win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
Buttler highlighted Sudharsan’s hard work and humility, saying, “He understands his game well and continues to improve. He puts in a lot of effort and deserves the success he’s having.” In a recent match, Sudharsan scored 48 runs from just 23 balls and built a strong partnership with skipper Shubman Gill, who scored 76 runs, helping the team win by 38 runs.
On the bowling side, Prasidh Krishna, who currently holds the Purple Cap for the best bowler, also impressed with a great performance, taking two key wickets for only 19 runs in his four overs. Buttler praised his technique, stating, “Prasidh is very disciplined. He maintains a good line, watches the batters closely, and mixes his deliveries well. His consistency and execution have been key to his success.” Buttler added that solid fielding has also made a big difference in their performance.
