On Saturday, the Indian government announced that it will stop all mail and parcel exchanges with Pakistan, both by air and land. This decision comes closely after India imposed a total ban on all goods coming from Pakistan, including stopping Pakistani ships from entering Indian ports. Now, no goods can be shipped into India from Pakistan.
In the last year, India exported goods worth about $447.65 million to Pakistan but only imported goods worth $0.42 million. The recent changes follow a terrible attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 people lost their lives. In response to this and Pakistan’s support for terrorism, India is taking strong steps, such as suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, closing the check post at Attari, and reducing staff in their embassies.
Additionally, India has cancelled all visas for Pakistani citizens, asking them to leave the country by April 30, and closed its airspace to Pakistani airlines. In response, Pakistan has decided to stop all trade with India and won’t allow Indian airlines to use its airspace.
