Itanagar: Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya showed how serious the government is about helping sports grow, especially in small towns and villages. He opened a new Khelo India multipurpose hall in Kamle district, Arunachal Pradesh. Minister Mandaviya said, “This hall is part of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream to find and train talent from all over India.” He believes Arunachal Pradesh has a lot of potential in sports and wants to ensure young athletes have the tools to succeed.
The new hall, which cost Rs 8 crore and was fully funded by the central government, is designed to help young players train in many indoor sports. This includes boxing, badminton, judo, karate, taekwondo, weightlifting, table tennis, and volleyball.
Minister Mandaviya encouraged local kids and athletes to take full advantage of this new facility. He also spoke about how important sports is for young people’s growth, saying it helps with fitness, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle. This hall aims to provide opportunities for youth to shine in sports and help build the nation.
At the event, several important people attended, including Arunachal Pradesh Sports Minister Kento Jini, Labour & Employment Minister Nyato Dukam, and Raga MLA Rotom Tebin. Senior officials from the Sports Authority of India and local leaders were also there. This opening is a big step toward improving sports in Northeast India.
