CBSE Class 10 & 12 Results Delayed: Key Updates and What to Expect!

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the results for Class 10 and Class 12 won’t be released today, May 2. Some news reports and social media posts had suggested that the results would be out today, but a senior CBSE official mentioned, “Results won’t be out today and might not come until this weekend.”

Currently, no official date for the results has been shared. The official advises students to avoid believing unofficial reports about the results.

44 Lakh Students Awaiting Results

This year, around 44 lakh (4.4 million) students took the CBSE board exams. Of these, over 24 lakh are from Class 10, and 17.88 lakh are from Class 12. The exams were held between February 15 and April 4, 2025.

The results are very important: Class 12 scores will help students apply for universities and entrance exams, while Class 10 marks will influence their choice of subjects for further studies.

Social Media Buzz

Even without an official announcement, many people are talking about CBSE results on social media platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter), using hashtags like #CBSE2025 and #CBSEResults.

Last year, results were made public on May 13, so they might still be a week away!

CBSE asks everyone to rely only on official news from the board for updates.

CBSE Passing Marks and Results Statistics

To pass the board exams, students must score at least 33% in each subject. Since the academic year 2022-23, CBSE no longer shares merit lists to promote healthy competition among students. However, the board will still announce the overall and gender-wise pass percentages.

Last year, the pass rate for Class 10 was 93.60%, and for Class 12, it was 87.98%. Experts think the pass rate may be similar or slightly better this year, with some students expected to score perfectly.

As students eagerly check for updates online, CBSE has one clear message: wait for the official announcement. Rumors only add to the stress during this important time.

In the meantime, students, parents, and teachers should be patient and avoid speculating about the results.
