U.S. Stocks Surge on Trade Deal Hopes and Strong Jobs Report

On Friday morning, U.S. stock markets started off strong. Investors were happy because there was good news about a trade deal with China and a surprising number of new jobs. At 9:30 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped by 414.53 points, which is a 1.02% increase, reaching 41,167.49. The S&P 500 went up by 54.59 points, or 0.97%, hitting 5,658.73. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite rose by 159.60 points, or 0.87%, getting to 17,864.97.
