Apoorva Mukhija on Facing Threats After India’s Got Latent Controversy

Apoorva Mukhija, also known as The Rebel Kid, is starting to get her life back on track after the controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent. However, the distress from that period still affects her. Recently, she shared that her mother received terrible rape threats during the chaos, and said she always wanted to experience a moment with the paparazzi.

In a recent trailer for BraveTalk with Nikhil on the Yuvaa YouTube channel, Apoorva shares her feelings about everything that happened. When asked why she unfollowed everyone on Instagram, she joked, “I wanted to be like Taylor Swift, with zero posts and zero followers, then release a rap video.”

Apoorva also explained her desire for a viral paparazzi moment. She said, “I wanted to have a video of reporters yelling, ‘Apoorva, say something!’ to show my kids, ‘Look, your mom was cool back in the day!’”

Apoorva doesn’t believe in the evil eye (nazar). She said, “I tried to give it to many people, but it didn’t work.”

In the trailer, she got emotional talking about the India’s Got Latent controversy. She revealed, “My mom received a lot of nasty words and rape threats. My dad always said that respect should exist in society, and in an instant, he lost that respect because of me.”

Apoorva felt angry that the focus wasn’t on the man who made inappropriate comments, even though she was the one everyone was talking about. She said, “People say their daughters should not behave like me. I want my daughter to be like me, and if I die tomorrow, I will have regrets.”

The complete episode will be available on Friday.
