An angry passenger shared their frustration on X about a delay of two hours for an Air India flight from Delhi. This happened during a storm with strong winds and early morning rain hitting the city. The passenger wrote, “Every Air India flight seems delayed by 1-2 hours with no respect for our time. There’s no improvement or accountability. It’s embarrassing to compare ourselves with other countries.”
The passenger also mentioned that their non-refundable ticket offered no compensation for the time lost.
Air India responded by saying, “Dear Mr. Rana, your flight is delayed because of bad weather in Delhi. We want to ensure our passengers’ safety first. Thank you for your patience.”
The airport operator, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), also gave an update. They said that flight operations were affected due to storms and that teams were working hard to help passengers. They advised passengers to check with their airlines for the latest flight information.
In another update, DIAL noted that while the storm had passed, some flight operations were still impacted due to the weather. They reminded passengers to reach out to their airlines for the latest updates.
The rain did bring relief from Delhi’s heat but also caused flooding and fallen trees across the city.
