New Delhi: The Delhi government is asking all public schools to send details of students who can get financial help for kids of construction workers. This need to be done by May 30. According to a notice from the Directorate of Education dated April 25, each registered construction worker can apply for help for a maximum of two children.
To apply, schools must enter the necessary details in an online system. They need the special registration numbers given by the Labour Department. No extra documents from parents or students will be accepted for this scheme.
The financial help ranges from ₹6,000 to ₹12,000 each year, depending on the student’s class. For example:
– Students from classes 1 to 8 will get ₹500 every month.
– Students in classes 9 and 10 will receive ₹700 monthly.
– Students from classes 11 and 12 can receive ₹1,000 each month.
School leaders must check the information about students to make sure only eligible ones get the money. They also need to confirm the Aadhaar card and bank account details before sending the information. The rules are strict to avoid giving the same family multiple registrations that could lead to errors.
School heads will be responsible if they leave out eligible students or include those who should not get the help. This financial support scheme works with the Delhi Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board under the Labour Department.
