Ajith Kumar Celebrates Padma Bhushan, Thanks Wife Shalini for Support

Actor Ajith Kumar was awarded the Padma Bhushan by President Droupadi Murmu on Monday. In an interview with India Today, Ajith expressed deep gratitude to his wife, Shalini Ajith, for her vital role in his success. He shared that Shalini has made many sacrifices throughout their journey together, helping him achieve his dreams.

When discussing the Padma Bhushan, Ajith thanked not only his wife but also his family, fans, and his manager, Suresh Chandra. He said, “I am thankful to everyone who has supported me, especially Shalini. She was a popular actress, but she chose to step back and support my career. There were times when I made mistakes, but she stood by me and never discouraged me. I owe a lot of my success to her.”

Shalini was a well-known child and lead actor before she retired after marrying Ajith in 2000. She appeared in many hits, including “Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari” and “Ente Mamattikkuttiyammakku.” The couple has two children together. Ajith began his acting career in 1990 with “En Veedu En Kanavar” and has continued to grow his fame over the years. He was last seen in “Good Bad Ugly.”
