Mumbai – Actor Emraan Hashmi is excited about revisiting his old film family with the sequel “Awarapan 2”. This announcement came right on his 46th birthday!
Emraan, who started acting in 2003 with the film “Footpath” by Vishesh Films, run by his uncle Mukesh Bhatt, is not calling this a reunion. He explained, “It’s not like we separated; we’ve just taken a break after many successful films together.” Hashmi’s relationship with Vishesh Films has been strong for nearly 20 years, producing hits like “Gangster” and “Murder 2”.
“Awarapan 2” is special because it has a big fan following. The team didn’t want to rush the project and waited until they had the perfect story. Hashmi said the excitement around the first “Awarapan”, which did well even on TV and YouTube, encouraged them to make a sequel.
The film’s plot is about Shivam, a hitman who struggles with love and freedom. Emraan wants to ensure that “Awarapan 2” is fresh and lives up to the first film’s success. He shared that they took their time to make sure the sequel would be exciting and not just another movie that feels old. COVID-19 also affected their plans, but now they are ready to start filming in two months!
The film is expected to hit theaters next April, and Emraan is eager to bring the story back to life.
