Actor Atul Kulkarni recently visited Pahalgam, a beautiful place in Kashmir, just days after a scary attack by terrorists. In an interview with BBC News Hindi, he said the terrorists were trying to scare people away and stop them from visiting Kashmir. But Atul believes that all Indians should visit Kashmir because “Kashmir humara hai” (Kashmir is ours). He encouraged everyone not to cancel their trips to the region.
Atul shared his sadness about the attack on April 22, where 25 Indian tourists and one Nepali citizen lost their lives. He mentioned that, instead of just talking on social media, he wanted to take real action. He learned that many people had canceled their bookings and that it was crucial to support Kashmir and its people.
He pointed out how important it is for tourists to keep coming to Kashmir. He said, “If we stop visiting, the connection between Kashmir and the rest of India might break. The terrorists want us to stay away, but we have to show them that we will come to Kashmir in large numbers.” Atul urged people not to cancel their plans and to choose Kashmir instead, saying it’s a safe place to visit.
He also shared his journey on Instagram, posting pictures of empty airplane seats, his boarding pass, and beautiful views of Kashmir’s nature. He captured heartwarming moments with locals who expressed their sadness over the attack with signs saying, “We condemn this attack.” Atul made a special post with a Hindi poem about Kashmir, using hashtags like #ChaloKashmir (Let’s go to Kashmir) and #Kashmiriyat to spread his message.
