Emraan Hashmi’s Ground Zero Shows Growth in Box Office Earnings!

On the second day of its release, Ground Zero, starring Emraan Hashmi, has seen a slight increase in its earnings. Reports from Niftystat show that the film has earned around ₹3 crore in just two days. The movie, directed by Tejas Deoskar, made ₹1.15 crore on its first day and about ₹1.90 crore on the second day, totaling ₹3.05 crore so far.

While this is good news for the film, it made less money than Emraan’s previous movie, Selfiee, which earned ₹3.8 crore on its second day. In comparison, Emraan’s earlier film, Tiger 3, made a huge ₹59.25 crore in India. Interestingly, his 2021 film, Chehre, only made ₹65 lakh on its second day.

Ground Zero, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, features Sai Tamhankar and Zoya Hussain in important roles. This movie also made headlines by being the first film to have its red carpet premiere in Srinagar in 38 years. The story follows BSF officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, who worked hard to find the mastermind behind the 2001 terrorist attacks on the Parliament and Akshardham Temple.

Tejas Deoskar shared why he chose Emraan for the role. He mentioned that he wanted a fresh face for a soldier or officer, as Emraan had never played a character in uniform before. Tejas believed this would bring a unique perspective to the film.
