Kerala’s ₹4,410 Crore Projects Start in May: New Investment Web Portals Launched

Kerala’s Industries Minister P Rajeev announced on Saturday that work on 13 new projects will start in May, bringing in a total investment of Rs 4,410 crore. These projects were suggested during the Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS) in February. Rajeev, who is also in charge of Laws and Coir, mentioned that in just April, four projects worth Rs 1,670 crore kicked off.

After launching two new websites—ikgseoi.kerala.gov.in for tracking project ideas and industrialland.kerala.gov.in for land information—Rajeev explained that from February to April, there are 76 projects worth Rs 1,385 crore currently in progress.

IKGS received investment proposals totaling Rs 1.96 lakh crore. The minister said they will regularly update the web portal with monthly reports on these investment ideas.

Anyone who owns land suitable for industries can upload details on the website. This will create a matchmaking platform where landowners can connect with investors directly. Rajeev stressed that these portals aim to help speed up the investment process and simplify finding land for industrial use.
