CSK’s Key to Success: Taking Inspiration from RCB’s Comeback Story

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are having a tough time in the IPL 2025, sitting at the bottom of the points table after losing their first eight matches. However, head coach Stephen Fleming is not giving up hope. He wants his team to draw inspiration from the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who had a similar struggle last season but managed to win all their last six matches to reach the playoffs.

“We believe we can still win all our remaining games, even if some people laugh at that,” Fleming said, referring to RCB’s incredible comeback last year when they were also at the bottom after eight games. They went on to win their final matches and even secured a playoff spot against CSK.

CSK knows they must win six games in a row to stay in the race for the playoffs. While they remain positive, Fleming is also preparing for the possibility that they might not make it. “If things don’t go our way, we need to make the best of this challenging season,” he added.

Fleming also mentioned MS Dhoni’s recent comment about focusing on future plans if the playoffs slip away. He emphasized that building for the future can be a crucial step for the franchise. “Previous times we were in this situation helped us win titles the next year. We understand what needs to be done,” he said.

Fleming assured fans that every match counts. “Every game is important, and we won’t waste any opportunity in the coming weeks. This will create healthy competition within the team,” he stated.
