Thursday’s FMCG Market Update: Big Drops & Notable Gains

In New Delhi, shares of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies went down on Thursday. A few companies, however, did well. Euro India Fresh Foods Ltd. was the biggest winner, rising by 9.41%. Other companies that gained include:

                                                                                   – Bikaji Foods International Ltd. (up 2.67%)
– Zydus Wellness Ltd. (up 2.34%)
– Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd. (up 2.19%)
– Prataap Snacks Ltd. (up 1.96%)
– Dangee Dums Ltd. (up 1.85%)
– Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. (up 1.62%)
– Dodla Dairy Ltd. (up 1.51%)
– Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd. (up 1.24%)

                                                                                            On the flip side, some companies saw their stock prices drop. Hindustan Unilever Ltd. fell the most at 4.07%. Other companies that lost ground include:

                                                                                   – Vadilal Industries Ltd. (down 4.00%)
– Varun Beverages Ltd. (down 3.06%)
– Hindustan Foods Ltd. (down 2.26%)
– Jyothy Labs Ltd. (down 1.97%)
– Britannia Industries Ltd. (down 1.49%)

                                                                                The NSE Nifty50 index dropped by 82.25 points to close at 24,246.7, while the BSE Sensex lost 315.06 points, ending at 79,801.43.

                                                                                 In the Nifty group, some companies did well, including IndusInd Bank Ltd. (up 3.22%) and UltraTech Cement Ltd. (up 1.76%). However, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. was again among the losers, falling 4.07%. Other companies that went down include Bharti Airtel Ltd. and Eicher Motors Ltd.
